I just don’t know why people don’t like Audi so much, everytime you ask where to have a good deal of Audi, people will tell you “go for a BMW”.
This is totally weird to me.

My current project got postponed to next year, so I’m going to have something else to do, may not be that visible, but I believe I will have a life of leisure, more or less.
Seems the organization-wise we are still not settled down yet, there may be re-org later on, in a quater or two. Anyway seems my boss’ boss is pretty powerful in the whole organization, which will make our life easier.
Let’s see, year 2009 will be a interesting year.

I filed a ticket 6 years ago to request some configuration changes on one server from Yahoo! China, obviously someone fixed it already but didn’t follow the right procedure to close it.
Someone marked it as resolved just now and I’m glad to close it, funny thing is that the guy who changed the status is the one I’m working together in my new project.

It seems spam comments come with search engine – after I allow search engines index my blog, I start getting spams, not that many, and seems akismet is doing great job.

Is it a good year for orange? Or actually it is the same every year?
I don’t know, but the orange tree in my backyard produced way too many oranges and now it becomes a headache. Seems I have to be healthy to ate at least two per day.

I just cannot believe I spent 1 hour and 40 minutes to get to office, on a Monday moring!!!
Everything seems not good on the way to the office, I just don’t know what happened, wish things can be better in the coming days.

The new floor plan is mush worse than I was thinking, for the whole morning, I haven’t done anything meaningful (sure I re-assigned some bugs, arranged a meeting, and so on).
The problem is that it is hard to concentrate on anything need to think, there is not much noise but I just feel bad, open is good for a computer system, but it is definitely bad for working environment.
I will try work from home more than before.

I believe my daughter is getting to old to be her any more, obviously kids here are much younger (pre-K I think) so she cannot find much fun.
Guess we won’t be here any more in the future.

The moving process is really faster recently – I got my desktop back in ~20 hours, yes, less than a day, compare with ~48 hours in old days.
Not sure how they make this progress, but this really improve the producitivity a lot.

I think I used to need powerful computers till last year, as it seems computing ability would never be enough, either desktop or server. However, I think I changed some recently, maybe after I got 7 computers at home.
Now I want something small – if I’m going to buy either a laptop or desktop in the future, size matters the most. Powerful is still important, but thinking I haven’t run out of capacity (well, maybe memory, but after all machines are running at least 1G, no more).
I wish new desktop can be launch box size, server can be credit card size, and laptop can be book size. I know my wish on server may be ridiculous, but thinking of there are so many tiny Linux boxes around, it is possible.
Let’s see – I think we will get new computers in a year or two, it won’t be hard then.
