Somebody heard it from “Julie and Julia”, and because I cooked a lobster for Thanks Giving, now I’m called “lobster killer” for all the time.
BTW, this year’s lobster tasted good, one more to come for this weekend. ๐

Alright, this should be named as fighting cat.
I believe it’s a cat, a wild cat. I said “I believe” because I never saw it – it comes in night only.
I’m not a cat-hater, but it left feces on my tree EVERY NIGHT, this becomes annoying whenever I clean up my backyard during the weekend, as it becomes a lot.
I’m loser in this case so far – I tried put something smelled really bad over there, obviously it doesn’t care, then I tried to put water that since cat scares, obvious it’s a brave cat. My most recent try is buying 4 rat traps, putting them there on the tree – I don’t meant to catch the cat, but just want to scare it so never come again.
I was happy yesterday morning while I found nothing there other than my rat traps, but bad news for this morning – one rat trap got triggered (but something you know, shi*t), and seems the cat didn’t get hurt at all, actually I was almost hurt by those rat traps whenever I was pulling them down and re-set.
OK, now I lost my idea, I’m going to search online for some serious solution. Things in my mind include: poisoned bait (again I don’t want to kill the cat), electric fence, and what else? Also I will try to set motion detected camera to see if I can catch the scene or not, maybe it’s not a cat at all …

Halloween! So holiday season starts.
I went to shopping today and seems shopping season starts as well, I even saw one of the shopping mall setup a huge Christmas tree, it’s good to see people are happy, willing to spend money :P.

I got fever yesterday and went to doctor this morning, confirmed it is not the most famous flu – it is not flu at all.
Then all weird things happened – the Linksys wireless router stopped working suddenly, without any reason, after got a new one, the internet connection stopped working (high packet lost rate), and after fighting it for 2 hours, turned out restarting the new wireless router solved the problem.
After I got online, I saw some weird name on my messenger list – Bruce, Lake … geeze – these guys had been away from messenger (or maybe just hiding) for quite a while, what made them show up again?
I also called in a meeting, it’s the first time people are discussing about the build system there – just because I’m not there? I have no idea, but at least I’m glad to know there are so many negative feedback to the new build system ๐
Then, I have to call a friend around noon Beijing time, as he’s trying to recruiting me ๐ , I told him that they can hardly give me an offer to get me moved, but seems this does not give him any negative feeling, so, let it be – it’s always to talk to a friend ๐ .

I know I didn’t post a lot on what got changed in my daily life, I was just too busy (on some B.S. projects) to mentioned them.
Well, let’s see what’s new in the past month or so:
- A guinea pig, his name is “Snowy” as he’s pure white, I know he does not like me too much as I went to sleep very late recently, and all light and my steps bothered his sleep for sure
- Nikon D3000 – finally started DSLR life, and though I was thinking I will play with basic len for a year or so, I now want to have another len … proved people are greedy, for all the time
- iRobot Roomba – the robot vacuum which will keep the house clean, especially after Snowy’s here, or ya, Snowy is just couple of months old, he does not have good habit to keep his place tidy
- Wii Sport Resort – I like swordplay the most ๐
OK pretty much.
I think I started shopping season earlier than others ๐ .

It took me one and half hour to get to office in the morning, all because of mess on 680.
Based on the bad experience I got all the time from 680, I decided to avoid the regular route I take – Santa Rita onto 580, then 680. Instead, I will take local and then get onto 680 on Sunol, this route is quite stable, though it always takes 20 min, while with my current route, the best is 10 min, and the worst is 40 min.

It seems to me all major freeways in Bay area are having some kind of construction work, 101, 280, 580, 680, 880.
I hit this problem as last night I was driving from San Francisco to Pleasanton, and finally the real route I took was driving down to south bay and then driving north, ridiclous.

Got the new piano for my daughter yesterday, and I believe this is the start of my piano life – get to learn how to play all those duet so I can help her practising.
It’s not a bad thing, I just need to get myself well prepared before she start her daily pratice, so … maybe only morning ๐ .
