{"id":254,"date":"2009-04-13T23:02:58","date_gmt":"2009-04-14T07:02:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/xiehang.com\/blog\/?p=254"},"modified":"2009-04-13T23:02:58","modified_gmt":"2009-04-14T07:02:58","slug":"hit-the-wall","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/xiehang.com\/blog\/2009\/04\/13\/hit-the-wall\/","title":{"rendered":"Hit the wall"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I think I hit the wall now &#8211; it seems I have to do my own binding for DirectShow before I can proceed, but create a binding is not that easy especially I&#8217;m not quite familiar with either source (DirectShow) and target (Ada) areas.<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;ve tried c2ada, which seems doesn&#8217;t work well, tried dll2def and gnatdll, seems doesn&#8217;t help as DirectShow is based on COM, there are two more alternatives I can try &#8211; start from COM and use DirectShow as a regular COM component, or, find another Win32 binding which has DirectShow support.<\/p>\n<p>I don&#8217;t know much about Claw or GWindow, but I just don&#8217;t like the thick binding.
