Got a mail from the big David, some good words though looks like from a template , but anyway it’s something good that I’m glad to get it after all these years service.

Let’s start something new

It’s time to start something new, am I ready for that?

Ready or not, new things are coming. New tasks are ahead and I will have to get it done well, but at the same time, some friends started to ignore (or care less) about what I’m doing and what I’m going to do.

Actually this is not that bad, right? As I can focus on doing my things and once things are moving smoothly I can have time to deal with friendship again … if it is still possible.

Lunch sessions

I have finished 2 lunch sessions and there is still one (the last one) left for Friday, and after that I will be free of charge .

Group meeting this afternoon, need to work from home tomorrow (to deal with some paperwork related to government), then I will be cleared.

I haven’t sorted out all electronic devices, but I’ve put everything on my table at home, seems it won’t be that hard to pack them.

BUilding up my LinkedIn network

Steadily, I’m building up my network on LinkedIn.

Geeze, so many people are leaving

I cannot believe there are so many people leaving, from different teams, different position, and heading to different companies.

Outside world may not be able to know all these since these are not that senior as our CTO, however, this is a bigger problem to me as all these are experienced people, staying here pretty long, so losing them is a real lost.

Driving @ LA is CRAZY

Went to LA last weekend and … people were driving crazily there, I mean it.

Finished VPN setup

I believe I need VPN access later on, so I setup an OpenVPN server at home.

Seems pretty straightforward, and all that I need to do later on is performance, but I don’t think I can test it anywhere now.

Let’s see.

Geeze, they are still talking about Microsoft

I cannot believe that people from the team across the hallway are still talking about Microsoft!

I mean it’s reasonable to discuss about it while it was uncertain so I didn’t complain even a little 3 weeks back as they need to communicate to make sure they are getting the right deal from Microsoft. However, since they’ve decided sign/not sign, they should get themselves prepared for moving to Microsoft or staying here.

Anyway – I’m abnormal for almost all the cases related to career, so my feeling could be weird.
